Hi, I’m Shagufta Khan — Co-Founder and COO of Second Quest, and someone who has spent the last 18 years building at the intersection of storytelling, technology, communities, and social impact.
I began my career in media, where I spent over a decade at NDTV, Network18, and Forbes India leading some of India’s most influential purpose-driven campaigns — from Save Our Tigers and Greenathon to Banega Swachh India and Mission Paani. These weren’t just media projects; they were national movements that brought together governments, brands, civil society, students, and celebrities to drive real change. They also gave me the foundations I carry even today: systems thinking, execution discipline, creative problem solving, and an obsession with building things that matter.
My entrepreneurial journey started when I co-founded MyyTake and later MyySports, where I helped build two impact-led tech ventures from scratch — raising venture capital, building operations, defining product and content strategy, and leading multi-functional teams. These experiences taught me how to shape early-stage ideas into scalable platforms, and how to build with empathy and community at the center.
Today, at Second Quest, I’m bringing together everything I’ve learned — storytelling, IP building, technology, community, and inclusive leadership — to build AI-native simulation games that empower players not just to play, but to create. I am deeply passionate about helping build a more equitable gaming ecosystem, which is why I also serve as an Individual Ambassador for Women in Games and as Media Director at GameDev India, India’s oldest and largest developer community.
No matter the industry, my work has always been driven by one belief:
technology and creativity can empower people — and that’s the future I want to help build.
